*willPower for girlPower- Teaches young girls about body awareness and self-confidence, while increasing their strength, muscular endurance, and stabilization. TRX Low Intensity-
Water Gloves/Abs- Hand equipment that responds to the water in a drag format. These are used for upper body and trunk strengthening exercises (Taught by Alicia Dermady).
Water Tabata- High intensity interval training that is designed to elevate the heart rate. The format is 20 seconds of high intensity exercise (jacks) with a 10 second rest, repeated 8 times for a total of 4 minutes. This class follows a music format that indicates start and stop time for the intervals (Taught by Kate McCormick).
Body Water Circuits/UCT- Stands for Unpredictable Command Technique, the movements are intentionally executed on a random basis; completed with eyes open and with the eyes closed. Water circuits are pool related workouts that involve different exercises without any breaks (Taught by Alicia Dermady).
Complete Water Cardio- A 45 minute cardio class is set to music that you can sing and laugh to! It is designed to condition your body from front-to-back and side-to-side. When you leave this class, you will have had a complete mind and body workout. Not to mention, you make some great new friends! Participants can make the intensity of this class as low or as high as they would like, making this a workout for any size, shape or age. (Taught by Jody Satalin)
Full Body Water Aerobics/Ai Chi- Ai Chi has a mind-body connection through fluid movements in the water using deep diaphragmatic breathing. This is done with a non-judgmental mind and focus is on the breathing using soft Japanese meditation music. Water aerobics include an array of ankle touches, knee lifts, and straight leg lifts to increase the heart rate while following music in a pool setting (Taught by Alicia Dermady).
Water Yoga- A relaxing and refreshing yoga class in the pool. Enjoy the gentle stretching and serene music, all designed to refresh your body, mind and spirit (Taught by Phyllis Amaral).
Gentle Yoga- Safe and effective stretching and relaxing asanas where you will build core strength, learn to focus, and shed stress (Taught by Phyllis Amaral).
